The world is increasingly divided into separate echo chambers and there is often a reluctance or fear to consider the opposing view.
Peoples' stories can become weaponised or ignored altogether in the algorithm or mindless scroll. Nuance, compassion and moments of connection are increasingly rare.
This is one of many reasons why I am driven by the power of film to affect people, their mindsets and behaviours.
I founded Mill Road to make human-focused films that really strike a chord with their intended audience and make them feel the full impact of their message. Films that are carefully crafted through narrative techniques, that respect the integrity of the story and are conscious of the responsibility that comes with this power to make change.
